Anniversary, birthday or proposal coming up? We found the most gorgeous spot to celebrate.
In our potentially biased opinion, Winmark Wines is one of the most stunning properties in the Hunter Valley region, spanning 130 acres in the Broke Fordwich area (the quieter part of wine country, away from all the busloads of people). Formerly known as Pooles Rock vineyard, the property was lovingly restored by Karin Adcock and brought back to its premium status under the brand of Winmark Wines (‘Winmark”’ in Karin’s native Danish means “Fields of Wines”).
Today, Winmark Wines welcomes visitors to the cellar door by day, but the luckiest get to stay overnight. With four properties available for guests to rest their weary heads, the latest addition is a true gem.
Introducing Villa Vino – the quaint tiny house surrounded by vines
Villa Vino is perfect for those seeking the blissful tranquillity, privacy and intimacy of tiny space living. The divinely designed ‘villa’ is framed by windows allowing the views to be fully embraced. Sip Winmark Chardonnay in the cosy outdoor area with firepit whilst soaking in the views across the vineyard, and the setting sun on the mountains.
Spend the night under the pitched roofline, with a stunningly appointed open room with queen bed and sitting for two. A mini fridge will keep your Winmark Chardonnay and beverages chilled whilst you are exploring the region. Cook outdoors with Villa Vino’s BBQ for a romantic candlelit dinner, with the stars the only distraction.
An ensuite bathroom pod is attached to Villa Vino, with quality towels and Appelles toiletries keeping you gloriously indulged. A coffee pod machine and tea and toast making facilities will see you sipping coffee whilst the kangaroos nibble on nearby grass. With the Broke Fordwich wine trail literally at your doorstep, this is a getaway that provides the perfect combination of privacy and adventure.
