Not only does Hunter Valley produce delicious wine, but it is also home to the freshest produce, cheeses, and meats. There are food tastings the whole family will enjoy, ranging from cheese tastings to a chocolate company. Your family can also partake in cooking classes at Lovedale Smokehouse Cafe, and even more fun for the kids- candy-making classes at Cocoa Nib

Go to a concert in the vineyard

Previous legends like The Rolling Stones and The Eagles have performed here, showing why this location could not be more perfect. If you’re looking for a boujee stay in Hunter Valley, try checking out Spicer’s Vineyard Estate. It has 12 beautiful suites, a luxurious spa, and its own vineyard. For a more affordable option, have a look at Grapevines. All around are magical vineyards, delicious restaurants, fun shops, and great golf courses. Something that is more of a middle ground is the lovely Chateau Elan at the Vintage. It is ten minutes from the Hunter Valley Gardens and in the historical district.

Wollemi Park Kayaking

If your family appreciates the great outdoors, then kayaking at Wollemi Park is necessary. There are guided tours, so the entire family can enjoy the trip without worrying too much.  If kayaking isn’t for you, pack a picnic, walk around and take in the stunning scenery during a relaxing afternoon. Other activities at the park include hiking and rock climbing, so the options are practically endless!

Go to the Hunter Valley Zoo

The Hunter Valley Zoo is the perfect activity for a family vacation. The kiddos can pet and feed animals while you all stroll around and enjoy a nice day. You can even pet a koala! There is an aviary where you can see all the magical feathered creatures that the kids will definitely love. There are also barbeque materials, so after a long day, you can grill and enjoy a nice burger, or pack a picnic and eat at the facilities.
