We check out some of the latest and greatest places to dine, enjoy a bevy and lay your head after a magical day on the slopes in the state of Victoria.

Falls Creek – one of the prettiest ski resorts in Australia and the largest in Victoria – is famed for its European style ski-in, ski-out village that sits 1780 metres up on the top of a picture-perfect mountain dotted with eucalypts and snow gums.

The resort is also renowned for mountain biking in the warmer months, its stunning alpine wildflower season in summer, abseiling, hiking, fly-fishing (for trout and salmon) and for the world-class food, wine and beer offerings sourced from the nearby villages and farms of the High Country and Dinner Plains.

Cloud 9 Balcony Falls Creek

Cloud 9 Balcony Falls Creek

Cloud9 is at the top of Halley’s Comet Chairlift – the main meeting point in Falls Creek while on the mountain. Undergoing a major renovating over the next 3 years, Cloud 9 will soon become one of the greenest hospitality venues in the southern hemisphere.  Stage 1 of the Cloud 9 re-development progressed well over Summer.  For 2023, guests can expect a new menu to compliment many of the old classics at Cloud 9.  The extension to the Mezzanine Level will mean more seating throughout the restaurant, which will be wonderful, particularly during the lunch hour rush.  This summer’s work is just the beginning of the grand re-development setting the scene for elevated food and beverage options for 2023 and beyond.

Dicky Knees: Under new management for 2023, Dicky Knees is welcomed back to the TAG Family.  After a facelift and with new vibe, guests can expect a range of local and European style fare, pretzels, kranskys and snacks, as well as excellent barista made coffee.  Dicky Knees will be the perfect on mountain stop for guests this winter and will have snow enthusiasts well fed and back out onto the slopes to enjoy the rest of their day.
